Catherine Pooler ~ Witchy Web

Happy Hump Day everyone!  Today I'm sharing a fun Halloween card featuring some of the newly released spook-tacular Catherine Pooler products.

I started my card off by die cutting the scalloped die from the "Slimline Essentials Dies" from black cardstock.  I die cut 3 circles from the "Spooky-N-Sweet 6x6" patterned papers and layered on the cute little ghost, witch's legs and hat from the "Toil & Trouble" stamp set.  I colored everything in using Copic Markers.

Before adhering and stitching my circles, I used some Twilight ink to stamp on some bubbles on my white cardstock.

The inside of the card reads... "Happy Halloween"!

My card is based off my Splicoaststamper's Card Sketch for this week: SC925.

I'd love it if you joined us for this week's sketch!

Until next time, stay crafty!

Craft Roulette ~ Fall Birthday

Yesterday was Fri-YAY so every Friday I aim to watch the latest LIVE episode of Craft Roulette!

What is Craft Roulette you ask... it's a weekly live show featuring improvised crafting, special guests, community contributions, tons of prizes and much, much more!  It's live every Friday over on YouTube.

So the four parameters that wheel spit out this week were:

  • Project: Tag with Pocket
  • Colors: #team + 2
  • Element: Light
  • Random: Black & White Image

Everything on that list is self explanatory except the colors parameter.  So over at Craft Roulette YouTube channel, the people who chat during the live event are called the Chatterboxes.  Along the way we got into a discussion about our favorite colors.  We decided that the most common favorite colors were either purple and orange.  So we started calling out our favorites... I happen to be #teampurple because it's my favorite color!  So that's where the # comes in for the color element this week.

So my project began with a fun black and white image, my "Typewriter Text Background" stamp from MFT.  Then I die cut the layers of my pocket element using the MFT "Elegant Stitched STAX Dies" and applied a purple inked stencil, "Knitted Stitching Stencil" from the Crafter's Workshop to my pocket front panel.

Then I stamped my fabulous hair girlie from the Sweet November Stamps set called "A Chill in the Hair" and colored her up with Copic Markers.  I fussy cut her out and added her with foam tape on top of my pocket.  To incorporate the "light" element of the parameters, I hand drwn in a little lantern on the branch next to her.

Inside my pocket I added a die cut tag shape from my Catherine Pooler "Scallops & Dots Die" and stamped on a simple "Happy Birthday" greeting from the MFT "Sassy Pants Birthday Greetings 3" stamp set in black ink.

If you haven't check ed out Craft Roulette to get your mojo running you should! It sure makes me think out side the box.

A HUGE thanks to Sweet November Stamps for the gift of the beautiful stamp sets (and a few more!!).  I won the entire Fall collection on a giveaway they had a few weeks ago!  If you haven't checked out there amazing stamp sets and you love coloring people, critters and scenes, then you'll be falling in love with their stuff!  Thanks to Amy and her team!!

Until the next crafty moment... tootles!

My Favorite Things ~ Oh Nuts! I Forgot!

TGIF everyone!  I received my new My Favorite Things goodies in the mail yesterday and I just had to pull them out!

I started by stamping out the little boy, fox, chipmunk and the acorns from the new "Hoodie Weather" stamp set and coloring them in using Copic Markers.  I wanted to make a feminine card so I added pigtails to the little little by to make him a girl.

For my background, I cut 2 circular masks and then stamped the "Typewriter Text Background" stamp in CP Pink Champagne ink.  then before removing the masks, I sponged more Pink Champagne ink over the text.

Next I cut a cute piece of the "Joyful Plaid 6x6" paper pad to back my card panel cut using the "Stitched Rectangles Dies".

I finished off the card with a simple sentiment also from the "Hoodie Weather" stamp set.

My card design today is based off the newest MFT Sketch Challenge... check it out HERE.

I had a ball creating this fun fall birthday card!  Have a great weekend all!

Catherine Pooler ~ Joy Wreath

The Holly Jolly Christmas collection from Catherine Pooler Designs is in the shop now!

Part of the festive "Critters Bundle" is the beautiful "Tree Trimmings Die" and it's a cool die for sure! This die actually cuts all the shapes out and not the outline of the wreath.  This is a fun die for shaker cards!

I die cut the dotted rectangle using the the "Scallops & Dots Dies" first and then took the "Tree Trimmings Die" and die cut it from that rectangle.  Then I took some red cardstock and backed the berries instead of coloring them and then fitting them back into the die shapes.  I also added some Stickles over them too!

Then I backed the whole rectangle with a silver mirror cardstock.  YES... it's actually silver but it reflects light in a rainbow!

I added the word JOY using the "Slim Alphabet Dies" and colored them with Copic R27.  PLUS, Catherine and her team just added a whole bunch of new Copic Marker colors to the shop.  Check them out here!

For my final touch, I added my rectangle onto a piece of the fun plaid from the "Two-Toned Gray" patterned paper pack.  Voila!  A fun holiday card!

Hope you have a creative rest of the week!

Catherine Pooler ~ Easy Shaker Ornament

The Holly Jolly Christmas collection from Catherine Pooler Designs is in the shop now!

You can purchase everything in this collection one piece at a time and choose your favorites but you can also purchase things in bundles (at a discount!).  We also have a "I Want It All - Holly Jolly Christmas Bundle" too!  Check out all the festive bundles...

Today I'm using products from the "Critters Bundle".  This bundle features the adorable naughty pets from the "Naughty List" stamp set, the "Wrapped" 6x6 paper pack and the cool "Tree Trimmings Die".

I started my card by die cutting 2 of our fun "Scallop Tag Duo Die" cuts to create a open shaker tag and backer.  I backed the opening of the tag with some acetate and backed it with some patterned paper from the "Wrapped" paper pack and placed some "Valencia Sequins" inside.

Next I stamped the cute little puppy in the box from the "Naughty List" stamp set and die cut him out.  I colored him with Copic Markers and popped him on top of my shaker.

I cut some patterned paper pieces for my card base plus I die cut a piece of Rockin' Red inked cardstock with the "Scallops & Dots Die" set for a little scallop under one of the layers!

Now check this out... I tied a red ribbon for my shaker and made it a detachable ornament!!!!  The shaker tag is just hanging on the front of the card and not permanently attached so it can be removed.

The Holly Jolly Christmas collection is now in the Catherine Pooler Designs shop!

I began today's card by die cutting a whole bunch of the cool patterned papers from the new "Wrapped" 6x6 paper pack using the "Nested Hexagon Dies".  I had to make sure I die cut out that cute Corgi puppy and the lights wrapped kitty!

I framed them up with a die cut frame from the fun "Notecard Frame & Tag Dies" set and then added a simple sentiment from the new "Holiday One Liner Sentiments" stamp set.

This card was SO easy to make!  I can see this kind of card being a fun to create with your kids!

Sweet Sentiment ~ Hexagon Greetings

Good afternoon!  Today is release day over at Sweet Sentiment!

The second stamp set that I designed with was the gorgeous "Playful Poinsettia" stamp set and it's a stunner!

This beautiful stamp set has 2 different sized poinsettia flowers, a single floral center, 2 leaves, a pretty snowflake and some greetings.

For today's creation, I stamped my poinsettia flowers with Versamark ink and added gold embossing powder and heat set it.

Next I took my Karin Markers and added the deep rich color into the center and backdrop.

Then I added marker into the flowers and had a ball with vibrant greens and deep red inks.

And another festive close up of my card....

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you're gettin' crafty this weekend!

Sweet Sentiment ~ Elfin' Around

Happy Saturday everyone!  Today is Release Day for Sweet Sentiment!

This month we have all kinds of fun stamps, dies and stencils to share!

Today I'm sharing the brand new "Elfin' Around" stamp set!  This festive stamp set features 3 elves, one deer and 4 awesome sentiments.  There is also a Sweet Slices Metal Die made to coordinate with this stamp set too!

I started by stamping my little tree bearing elf onto my SS Coloring Cardstock, masked him off and then ink blending a sky using CP inks.

Before the brand new "Snowflake Mandala Stencil" and some Stickles Glitter Gel in Moon Dust and applied it to my background.  I also flicked some sparkling white paint to look like snow.

Next I removed the mask and began coloring my elf!

I kept my coloring simple this time.  I added a simple stamped sentiment flag with a tiny strip of patterned paper tucked under it for a little hint of stripes!

Don't forget to check out all the amazing project going to be shown today over on the Sweet Sentiment Stamps & Friends Facebook page.

Stay tuned for another fun Sweet Sentiment card this afternoon!

Next I stamped the fairy and her little critter friends from the "Believe in Fairies" stamp set and colored them up with Copic Markers.

I finished my card by die cutting out the "Yay!" from the "Yay! Die" set in black cardstock.

Stamp Anniething ~ Isaac, Pour Me a Drink

Welcome to Day 3 of the Stamp Anniething September release!

Today we're all at the Cruise Ship bar ordering a drink from the chatty Mr. "Isaac - Let the Fun Be-Gin!".

For this card since Issac is mixing drinks at the bar, I thought we'd make a shaker card.

I started by ink blending a fun green back ground using the "Ocean Tide Stencil".

I created the shaker by die cutting the "Shaker Basics Oval Die" and added some sparkly sequins.

Issac was stamped in Memento "Rich Cocoa" ink and colored in using Polychromos Pencils.

Order a beverage and join the rest of my Shipmates and check out all the Love Boat fun this week over on the Stamp Anniething Stampers Facebook group.
