Well in honour of it being the weekend... let's get that party going and hear some tunes! I mean, as Marcy said, I think music gets the creative mind going so why not add some to your blog hop today!
Now... click that play button... I know ya wanna!!! :)
For my card today, the minute I saw all those gorgeous feathers, I just knew that's what I wanted to design with. I pondered over my design and "theme" of my card for a few days until I came across the most stunning paper version of a dream catcher on another blog this week and I knew exactly what I wanted to do!
So I machine cut a dream catcher doily and began creating...
First I created my little tag back ground. I used all the feathers and some Ranger "Pumice Stone" Distress Ink to stamp them down the tag's edges. I used some Prima masks to get the checker board and crack effect. Then I stamped the three smaller feather, coloured them with some Copic Markers (BG70, BG93) and added some gold pen work to the veins. I fussy cut them and added some jute twine to tie them to my dream catcher die cut.
I added a corresponding tag with my peace inspiring sentiment (it's a pre-sneak!) and my super simple card was finished.
Here is a close up of my feathers. I used some adhesive gold half pearls to look like beads!
So, now that you have a little tune stuck in your head and a bop to your step, why not dance it out? Twist on over and see the rest of the Bloom Brigade!

Ok.. I am cracking up so hard! I don't think I've ever danced and left a comment before??? HA! So bring your good times... and your laughter too.....! This card is, as always, over the top creative! You always take a stamp set, do something completely different and then get us all thinking out of the box! What a wonderful "guy" card too with those rustic shades! Love it!
That is the coolest design, Ally...sooo creative! ...and, oh yeah, that song is officially stuck in my head now!
I AM LAUGHING SO HARD!!! Ok.... I woke up and wondered how everybody was going to approach this set, and when I clicked on yours and saw the CELEBRATION video, I pressed play and was both cracking up and dancing in my bed with the laptop!! HEHE! And *then* to scroll down to see your card, with its dangling feathers (!!!) and dreamy, peaceful feeling, and all of the subtle textures and funky stitching and distressing, well, let me just say, I am indeed Celebrating Good Times this morning! Thank you for jumpstarting it, Ally!
Ohmygosh....see, this is exactly what I was talking about the other day...creativity just oozes from your pores, girl! I LOVE the idea for a dream catcher and you executed it perfectly! Simply amazing, Ally! And yeah, I'll be singing with Kool and the Gang for the rest of the day! :)
Wow, love that card. Love that "Think Peaceful Thoughts" sentiment, too. Okay, yes, that song is stuck in my head. LOL. Thanks for the happiness.
Ally, your card is a perfect example of the versatility of this set! Love your inspired idea for the dream catcher, and thanks for the tunes this morning, you clever girl!
