Sweet Sentiment ~ Calming Clematis

Howdy all!  I hope your weekend has started off a little crafty!  Today is release day for the fabulous Sweet Sentiment!

One of the newest stamp sets to hit the shop is the amazing "Calming Clematis"!  This set also has a coordinating Sweet Slices Die.

This beautiful stamp set is another of the amazing 3D floral stamp sets that Sweet Sentiment offers.  You can see them here.

I began creating my card by stamping the cool "crop circle" image as I call them on the background in green ink.  Then I stamped a variety of the Clematis flowers using Memento "Tuxedo Black" ink and coloring them using Copic Markers.

For coloring I used the following Copic Markers:

  • flowers: V17, V15, RV25, RV29, V12
  • leaves: YG01, G28, YG17, YG03
I fussy cut out all my flowers and leaves and using my sculpting stylus to mould my flowers into more 3D shapes.

I adhered them using 3D foam and glue dots in clusters on my card front.

I had a blast creating with the new "Calming Clematis" stamp set.

Don't forget to check the whole new August release HERE!

Happy shopping!

Spiltcoast ~ Home is Where the Herd Is...

Happy Wednesday!  Today I'm sharing my first of the 3 card sketches I'm hostessing for Splitcoaststampers!

Here is this week's sketch: SC919:

So I began this card by cutting some cute woodgrain patterned paper from the Stamp Anniething "Farm Life" 6x6 paper pack.  Then I used the same pack and found a fun denim paper and dark red paper to make my stripes.  I layered them on top of the "Intricate Lace Border Die" (I love this die!!!).

I die cut a dotted rectangle using the Catherine Pooler "Scallops & Dots Dies" and stamped my sweet little farmer and his piggy from the Sweet Sentiment "Farm Life" stamp set.  I colored my entire image using Copic Markers.

Such a simple card!  I just adore that lacy die element!

Don't forget to come and play along!

Catherine Pooler ~ Grateful For You!

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Today I created a fun and easy card to share with you using the new Catherine Pooler Designs "All Things Fall" collection.

I pulled out the sweet "Fall Finds" stamp set and stamped out one of the Oak leaves with Buttercream and Ginger inks and then 2 little mushrooms using Buttercream, Sand Castle and Terracotta inks.

I used the "Notecard Postage Dies" to die cut out the sweet little pumpkin patterned paper and the orange striped paper from the "Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice" 6x6 pack.  I die cut a piece of cardstock with the postage edge die and then inked it up with Cargo ink to match the patterned paper and sentiment.  I also die cut a tag from the "Hearts-n-Tags Dies" set and added a sentiment using the new Cargo ink.

To finish off the card, I added a few fun "Valencia Sequins" and called it done!

I hope you have a wonderful week!

Three Room Studio ~ Doggie Spa Day!

Happy Friday! TodayI'm over on the Three Room Studio blog today where we're featuring the adorable "Doggie Spa Day" stamp set!  This adorable stamp set has 3 of the cutest pooches all ready for a s-paw day!

For my card I started by die cutting a piece of this cool "water vibe" patterned paper and stamped all kinds of little bubbles from the stamp set all over the background using Versamark ink.  Then I applied copper embossing powder and heat set it.

Next I cut some white cardstock circles and stamped my two little doggies from the "Doggie Spa Day" stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I then colored in all the furry parts of my puppies using Copic Markers.

I took both doggie stamps and stamped them on some cool green patterned paper pieces and fussy cut the blanket and the head wrap out of this green paper.  I glued all the pieces right over top of the white stamped puppies.... otherwise known as paper piecing!

There was a little bit more white space in the back ground of the puppy wrapped in the towel so I stamped the word "Friend" from the "Hello Friend" stamp set in the background.

COPICS:  W7, W4, W2, W00

For the greeting, I also stamped the word "Hello" from the "Hello Friend" stamp set and then die cut it with it's coordinating die, "Hello Friend Die"set.

Here's a close up of the other cute puppy with the towel wrapped around her head.  I even added some Glaze pen to their noses and open eyes for that added bit of shine!

Thanks for stopping by today and checking out this fun stamp set!  It's sure to bring you lots of smiles today!

Happy creating!
