So Glad I've Got You!

Happy Monday all!  Today I was inspired to create my own patterned paper using the new Catherine Pooler Designs Just a Note goodies today!

I started by laying out almost all of the sentiments from the "Notes of Love Sentiments" stamp set.  I laid them all out on an angle and stamped them onto my CP cardstock using Twilight ink.

Next I die cut one of he largest heart shapes using the new "Two Part Hearts Dies" from the centre panel and backed it with the cute cloud paper from the "Lotsa Love" 6x6 papers.  I stamped a greet in Uptown ink and then backed it with fun striped paper.

A really simple but fun card!

You can find all of the fun new products in the "Notes of Love Bundle" to recreate this card.  This bundle includes the "Two Part Hearts" stamp and die set, the "Notes of Love Sentiments" stamp set and matching dies plus the "Notecard Bubble Frame Dies", the "Rehoboth Sequins" and finally, the beautiful 6x6 paper pack, "Lotsa Love".  This bundle is discounted in comparison to purchasing all of the items separately.

All the new products for the Just a Note collection will be in the shop at 9am ET on Wednesday BUT if you're a StampNation member, you get to shop EARLY!  SN members can begin shopping at noon ET on Tuesday!  Just another fun perk of being a StampNation member!

Have a great Monday!

Chibitronics ~ Merry Jeep-mas!

Happy Monday everyone!  You probably don't know this but I'm a BIG Jeep lover!  My husband and I BOTH have Jeep Wranglers.  A his ('08) and hers ('16) matching set!  My husband's is Rumbler and Mine is White Widow - both are decaled this way now.  Mine is all stock still but my husband's is lifted and has a V8 Vortex engine in it!

Having a Jeep has put us in touch with a lot of cool people and has allowed us to make fast friends in our local community as we are part of a local off-roading club.  I mean it's a lifestyle and a fun one!

So I met a fellow "Jeeple" on Instagram and she has a yellow '08 Wrangler (my husband really wanted a yellow Jeep!) and I thought I would send her a very special Christmas card this year... a LIGHT UP card!

To create this card I stamped two Jeep images from the Joy Clair Designs stamp set. Both on the same shape of paper and in the exact same place.  This makes positioning your lights so much easier!

To see the entire coloring process of this card, see my video HERE.

Next I picked the position of my switch which is also the position of my battery housing, just underneath the word "Jeep" on my front panel.

This is the layout of my circuit...

I used Copper Tape and our fun LED White Light Stickers from Chibitronics to complete my circuit.  To create a connection on top of my battery, I used a piece of the black Pressure Sensitive Plastic to complete my circuit.

I built a very simple battery housing for my 3V battery.  It allows you to pull it out and replace or remove the battery from the card.  I used a single layer of foam tape to create this little battery housing.

Here is my card with all of its doubled up foam tape in place.  The doubled up foam tape allows me to hide the battery housing as it is quite thick.

For the entire VIDEO of how I created this card, please click the image below.

I hope you'll take a few moments and check out how easily this card came together!

Have a great week everyone!

A Friend Like You

Happy Sunday all!  Here in South Eastern Alberta we finally got a real snowfall!  We went from my neighbour mowing his lawn at noon yesterday to 6" of snow in less than 12 hours!

Today I'm sharing a fun card using the new Catherine Pooler Designs "Just a Note" collection releasing on Wednesday December 8th at 9am ET.  If you're a StampNation member, you get to shop early - on Tuesday at noon ET!

I started off by stamping this big beautiful bloom from the "Big Blossom Florals" stamp set in Be Mine and Flirty Fuchsia inks.  Then I added a few Mint To Be and Mardi Gras leaves. To create the light spotted effect, I first stamped the Mint To Be polka dots (a flower centre) off on a scrap piece of paper first and THEN stamped it again on my card front - second generation stamping.

I used Platinum embossing powder to heat emboss the smaller words of the sentiment and I used a combination of Be Mine & Flirty Fuchsia ink to stamp the word "friend" and then I added Halo embossing powder over it.

The panel was cut using my favorite die set, the "Scallops & Dots Dies" and I then placed in a piece of striped paper from the "Decked Out Holiday" 6x6 patterned paper pack because it matched the color scheme perfectly.

You can purchase the Big Blossoms Bundle at a reduced price then buying all the items separately. It contains the "Big Blossom Florals" stamps set and coordinating die plus the cool "In the Square Stencil".

Have a great rest of your weekend!

Many Hearts a Shakin'!

It's Saturday!  Hooray for the weekend!  I hope you're gettin' crafty today!

Today I'm sharing a fun shaker card creation featuring products from the newest Catherine Pooler Designs release called "Just a Note".

I begin by die cutting a fun notecard sized frame from the "Notecard Frame & Tag Die" set. I added Versamark ink to the frame and then added WOW's "Uptown" embossing powder to it and heat set it.

I then cut a piece of that adorable plaid paper from the new "Lotsa Love" 6x6 patterned paper pack to fit behind it.  I used all different sizes of the fun "Two Part Heart Dies" t cut heart shapes on that plaid.  I then backed it with a piece of acetate to create a window panel.

I used the new "Notes of Love Sentiments" stamp set and coordinating die to create a greeting using In The Park and Uptown inks.

I placed some 3D foam adhesive behind the frame and added some new Rebohoth Beach Sequins inside the shaker.
