For Craft Roulette episode #279, I decided to bring a little swashbuckling fun to the stage!
My card features all things Sweet November Stamps — the bold blue curtains are from the Christmas Choir stamp set and my playful little pirates come from the A Bit of Piracy stamp set.
This week’s Craft Roulette parameters were:
-
Project: Kid’s Card
-
Colors: Theatre
-
Element: Picture(s)
-
Random: 1/2 and 1/2
Here’s how I made them work: Pirates are always a hit with kids, so that checked the first box right away! For the theatre colors, I turned the scene into a full-blown movie theatre stage, complete with rich blue curtains and a sandy “set.” The picture(s) element came to life as a “movie picture” scene unfolding before your eyes. And for that sneaky 1/2 and 1/2 twist? The pirate’s sword is half in and half out of the sand!
This card was so much fun to create and color — it felt like putting on a little pirate play right on paper. 🌊🏴☠️🎭
Hope you have a crafty week! Join us on Friday night over on YouTube for the next episode of Craft Roulette: HERE!
