Sweet November Stamps ~ Fairy Happy Birthday!

Happy Saturday everyone!  Today I'm sharing another fun Sweet November Stamp creation using some of the brand new "Fab Favorites" collection.

Today's card features 5 of our new stamp sets plus a few more!

I started with our 2 sweet little newly released monthly fairies; "February Iris Fairy" and the "March Daffodil Fairy". To fill the third spot in the postage die shapes, I used the "October Marigold Fairy".

To fill the tiniest square, I used one of the adorable ladybug's from the "Fairwee Readers".

I wanted a fun birthday card so I used the "Birthdays are the Best" stamp set to fill in the sentiment.  I also used part of a sentiment from the "Fairy Hair" to create the whole thing.

I used the postage die stencil and added some of the birthday themed post marks from the "Year Round Post Marks" stamp set.  I also use some the stamp price images.

Everything is colored using Copic Markers.  The backgrounds and the card base are all inked up with Catherine Pooler Designs inks.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!  I'm off to Winter Camp with my Scout troop.

Sweet November Stamps ~ The Last of the Fae-bruary Gang

Happy Tuesday all!  All month long, Amy Young the owner and illustrator for Sweet November Stamp has released a new digital fairy stamp every Monday in celebration of Fae-bruary!

Today I'm sharing a card featuring the final fairy for Fae-bruary - her name is "Delilah" - she's the flying fairy on my card.  I paired her with the adorable "Slow Ride" fairy from earlier on in the month.

I printed off both my fairies and then masked them both.

Then I laid down a variety of fun light Copic colors including some yellows and even some pinks using my Copic air brush system.  Then I used a few different green Copics over top. Then I used a plastic fern and air brushed over top it a few times to get the shadow of the fern shape in the background.

I peeled off all the masks and colored in my fairies and the snail.

To finish off my card, I pulled out my "Birthdays are the Best" stamp set and white heat embossed on my sentiment.

I also used a Posca Light Green paint marker to add some more lighter green pieces of grass to the backdrop.

I hope you have a wonderful week!

Crafty Meraki ~ Rainbow of Kindness

Happy Monday all!  I'm back sharing another fun Crafty Meraki card I made this month.

Today's card stars the gorgeous "Crimson Charm" Press-tacular Plate.

If you weren't aware, a Press-Plate not only can be used in a Better Press machine to make an empression in your cardstock but these plates can also be used to FOIL too!  This is fantastic to work in 2 different methods.

So with the "Crimson Charm" Press-tacular Plate today, I used some rainbow foil.

Then I took the "Crimson Charm Stencil" and my Copic Airbrush system and applied ink across the first stencil matching the colors of the foil and my Copic colors.

Then I took the second stencil and applied Copic across this stencil to deepen the previous colors of the more detailed layer.

I took the "Crimson Charm Dies" and cut out my bloom.

A quick spray of color across the card front and It was finished with a spatter of black acrylic paint.

Such a cool card!

Have a great week!

Sweet November Stamps ~ So Many Books, So Little Time

Happy Saturday all!  Last weekend Sweet November Stamp released a whole new collection of clear stamps!  This collection is called Fab Favorites

Today I'm sharing a card I made using the new "SN Gals: Libby & Laura" clear stamp set.  I also used the cool "Simple Room: Reading Nook Add-On" stamp set to set the scene.  I began by selecting our lounging lady and her puppy.

To begin, I stamped our sweet sleeping puppy, masked him, then I stamped our cozy girl.  I masked her off and stamped the plant.  I masked the plant and stamped the 3 legged table, the bookshelf and the floor lamp.

I began coloring my carpet first.  I laid down my base beige color of Copic Marker first.   Then I took a rag with some Copic Blending solution.  This gives the rug a texture.  Once it was dry, I could go on with coloring the rest of my card panel.

I wanted a texture to my wall as well so I an up and down motion for layer one and then right to left on layer two. This gives the appearance of a fabric texture on the wall.  I love the way it turned out!

I love the end result of this card.  I love the rich colors of the scene.

Have a great rest of the weekend!

Chibitronics ~ Dreaming of seeing you soon!

Happy Friday!   Today I'm sharing my latest Chibitronics creation that I've made this week.

Today's card features some adorable sleeping fairies and cute mushrooms from the Sweet November Stamps collection.

Today I used some Pink LED Light Stickers under the two large mushroom caps and some Animating White Blink LED Light Stickers for some blinking stars in the night sky.

Here's what the card looks like all lit up...

The pink hue of the lights under the mushroom caps changes colors due to the coloring of the Copics used in this area of the card.

Sadly, I can't share the circuit with you as it contains some brand new products not released.  Something to look forward to!

Check out what this card looks like in action....

Have a great weekend!

Crafty Meraki ~ Plum Purple Blooms

Happy Tuesday all!  I'm back sharing another fun Crafty Meraki card I made this month.

Today's card stars the gorgeous "Crimson Charm" Press-tacular Plate.

If you weren't aware, a Press-Plate not only can be used in a Better Press machine but these plates can also be used to FOIL too!  This is fantastic to work in 2 different methods.

So with the "Crimson Charm" Press-tacular Plate today, I used some purple foil.

After die cutting out the bloom with it's coordinating dies, I used some purple Copic Markers to color in to make my bloom cluster monochromatic.

Then I cut out 2 of the middle sized "Frame-worthy Background A2" die cuts and I applied them to the card base in a mismatched way.  I intertwined them.

To add a final touch I die cut out the sentiment "Love You Mom" from the "Love Like No Other EAP" and added to the front panel.

And finally, I wanted a little bit of shimmer, so I added some round confetti from the "Twinkle Treats: Black Iridescent" sequin mix.

This card was so fun to make!

Have a great week everyone!

Sweet November Stamps ~ Nettlewisp Fairy

Happy Tuesday all!  Today I'm sharing my latest card creation featuring Sweet November Stamp.

This little cutie is celebrating our "Fae-bruary" event over on our Facebook group.  This digital stamp set called "Nettlewisp", was released yesterday.

I began by making a scene for our little fairy.   I used the log from the "Builder Set: Forest Stump and Hollow Log" digital stamp set.

I created a mask for the log and fairy and then used my Copic Airbrush to add the burst of light from behind her and also the darkness too.

Next I added the bokeh effect with a circle stencil and some white pigment ink.

I then removed the mask.  I continued coloring her using a variety of Copic Markers.

I added a retired birthday sentiment about a belated birthday since I thought she was a little sad looking.

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Crafty Meraki ~ Bold Birthday

Happy Monday all!  I'm back sharing another fun Crafty Meraki card I made this month.

Today's card stars the festive "Lucky Lanterns Stencil".

I began my card by inking up my background.  I used a variety of red Distress Oxide inks and blended them together.  Then I took some white pigment ink and made some bokeh circles and splattered the whole thing with water and gold paint.

Then I took the repeating patterned "Lucky Lanterns Stencil" and used some Versamark ink and embossed it with Gold Embossing powder.

For my finishing touches, I die cut a black cardstock frame from the "Frame Worthy - Background A2 Dies" (must-have dies for me!!) and applied with foam tape.

Next I foiled a whole sheet of the bold "Gilded Greetings EAP" with some gold foil. I cut out the whole page with all of the greetings using the coordinating die set.

I applied the foiled greeting with an additional black cardstock die cut backer to make the greeting stand out a little bit better.

And for a little bauble and bling, I used some Gold Opal Gems on the card.

This was a bold and fun birthday card to create!

Have a wonderful week!

I love this little Snowdrop fairy!

Today's card features the cute and adorable "This Calls for Champagne" stamp set by Catherine Pooler Designs.

I stamped all of my champagne bottles and flutes using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

To fill in the images, I used some fun CP inks: Seafoam, Bay Breeze, Tiara, Quartz and the new Cashmere ink.

To make the party sparkle, I used a LOT of fun Animating LED White Blink light stickers.

Here's the card lit up with about half of the lights lit... remembering that the lights blink on and off...

Normally I would share my circuit but we have some new stuff coming that I can't quite share today!

Scrap'N Stamp ~ My Favorite Technique Hop *PRIZE*

Welcome to the Scrap 'N Stamp My Favorite Technique Blog Hop!  Today's hop is all about sharing our very favorite techniques for card making.

My very favorite technique as most of you can guess... is Copic Marker coloring.

Today's card features the adorable pair of kitties from My Favorite Things stamp set, "Hugs Make Everything Better".

I started by stamping my kitty image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. This is my favorite black ink to use with Copic Markers.

The Copic colors I used include:

  • Orange Fur: YR20, YR21, YR24
  • Grey Fur: W3, W4, W6, W9
  • Ears: R22

I kept my coloring very simple today!

Next I die cut some black cardstock scalloped frames.  I included a die cut rectangle from the Prism Studio "Nested Stitched Rectangles" inside the smaller frame.

I die cut a vellum heart and glued it to the back of my kitties.

To create my background, I used the Lawn Fawn "Lots of Hearts" stencil.  There are 2 separate pieces to this background stencil.  I took the first panel and blended the pink Oxides from top to bottom; Picked raspberry Oxide to Festive Berries Oxide.  I took the second panel and blended the Mustard Seed Oxide into the Spiced Marmalade Oxide ink.

Then I took some Worn Lipstick Oxide and blended a light application from all 4 edges of my panel to a few inches towards the centre.

I used some bright gold paint from the Altenew Metallic Watercolor palette to splatter across the heart panel plus some black acrylic paint too.  To finish off the panel, I stamped a few of the mini stars from the My Favorite Things stamp set, "Hugs Make Everything Better" all across the panel.
