Crafty Meraki ~ Sending Hugs

Happy Monday all!  I'm back sharing another fun Crafty Meraki card I made this month.

Today's card stars the beautiful peony bouquet called "All My Love" stamp set.

I decided on a slimline cards to feature 2 of the bouquet images.

To finish off the card I stamped a greeting from the same "All My Love" stamp set and added some fun crosshatching and dots to my card front.

I love the vibrancy of the color palette of this beaut!

I hope you have a wonderful and creative week!

Catherine Pooler ~ Yeehaw!

A new fun honky-tonkin' release is coming to the Catherine Pooler shop this week!

Meet the "Lasso Life" release!

This collection arrives in the shop on Wednesday February 5th BUT if you belong to StampNation, you get to shop a DAY EARLY!  Sign in to the CP shop with your account and you can shop on Tuesday February 4th at 12 noon EST.

For today's card I also pulled out the adorable "These Boots" stamp set.  This stamp set has 3 different styled boots and I chose the ones with the blooms on them.  I started by stamping the boots in our new Succulent ink.  This color is so pretty!  I used some Copic Markers to darken up some of the parts of the boot.  I also used Polychromos Pencils to add in some of the details on the flowers, the curly-ques and the buckles.  I even included a spur!

To create the patterned paper, I used some Succulent, Glacier, Catching Rays, Cashmere, Icing on the Cake and Sandcastle inks.

I placed a tiny strip of Glacier swiped cardstock to add a bit of trim.

The greeting of "Yeehaw" is from the "Lasso Life" stamp set and I also add a Cashmere inked knot of rope from the "Lots of Knots" stamp set.  I used Polychromos Pencils to add some of the fine details to each of these.

I had a blast creating all the fun pieces for this card!

Hope you're having a great day!

Catherine Pooler ~ Lasso Life Is Coming!

A new release is coming soon to Catherine Pooler Designs.  This release is called Lasso Life and it's filled with all kinds of rootin' tootin' fun!  This new release is inspired by the Western Revival trend, featuring coordinating stamps, dies, and accessories designed to bring a little Yeehaw to your craft room!

Not only are going to see some adorable cowgirl inspired products but we also have 3 new ink colors too!  We have the brand new Neutral ink, Cashmere.  I lovely soft creamy brown.  Then we have Glacier, a rich, deep muted blue will be sure to be a must-have color!  And finally we have a soft, muted green to add to the Spa line called Succulent.  Another great Earthy green for your ink palette.

So I thought I'd share a little sneak peek of one of my cards with you today!

Today's card features the adorable "These Boots" stamp set and matching die.

I started out by creating a full panel of Cashmere cardstock as my card base.  Then I die cut a "Hobnob Cover Plate Die" and direct-to-paper inked it with our new Glacier ink.

Next I stamped the large open rope from the "Lots of Knots" stamp set with Cashmere ink and die cut it out.  I also cut out a panel to back with.  I thought the rope would be the perfect addition to a cowboy/cowgirl card!

Next I stamped out the hat from the "These Boots" stamp set and some small flowers using Rockin' Red ink.  I die cut them all out.  I also included some Glacier inked stamped flowers.

Inside the rope I stamped some mini stars from the "This Calls for Champagne" stamp set in Rockin' Red ink.

Next I stamped out the fun greeting from the "Lasso Life" stamp set and fussy cut it out.

To add dimension to the hat and greeting, I using a darker brown Polychromos Pencil to add some details.

I think this card came out super fun!

Today's card was made for last week's episode, episode #251.

  • Colors: Lumberjack Colors (I was inspired by a plaid - blues, reds and oranges)

  • Random: Lace or Doily (I drew a tiny little lace collar on the tiny little puppies coat)
 Here's my card...

Today's card features the adorable "Downhill Dashers" stamp set.  I was inspired by a card by Amy Young.  Here's her card on this post a few cards down... HERE.

Everything is colored using Copic Markers.

Catherine Pooler ~ Boldly Blue Birthday

Happy Friday!  StampNation is having a birthday this month! To celebrate, I made another fun birthday card for this Weekend Challenge.

The challenge is to make a card or project featuring the color BLUE.

For my card, I used some fun Catherine Pooler Designs products.

I began by created my background.  I took the fun "It's a Jungle Out There" stencil and a whole bunch of blue CP inks; Dress Blues, Daydream, On The Lake, Oh Boy! and Minted and created a jungle themed back drop. I used a blending brush to add some soft Dress Blues ink to all the edges.  I splattered some silvery white and gold metallic inks across the panel to finish it off.

Next I stamped one of the monkeys from the "Going Bananas" stamp set in Rich Cocoa Memento ink.  I colored him in using Copic Markers.  I fussy cut him out.

I then die cut out the "Marvelous Layered Word Die" backing it with the solid layer inked with Dress Blue ink.

To finish off the sentiment I stamped out the wording from the "Hey There Marvelous" stamp set using Dress Blue ink and fussy cut them out.

I adhered everything to the card and then added some iridescent sequins for some bling and shine.

Crafty Meraki - All My Love

Happy Monday all!  Today I'm sharing one of the full cards from the Meraki Genesis for the January release from Crafty Meraki

Today's card features this bright and bold yellow bouquet called "All My Love".

I started by stamping this bouquet in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Next I used the "All My Love Layering Stencil" set to colorize my image.  I actually used my Copic Air Brush System to color in the bouquet!  After coloring it in, I used it's coordinating die set, "All My Love Dies".

Next I die a background piece of paper for my card panel.  I used the beautiful "Sahara Symphony Background Die".

Next I popped a frame from the "A2 Frame-Worthy Die" set and adhered my bouquet to the center of the panel.

To add the finishing touches on the card, I stamped out a few sentiments from the "All My Love" stamp set and adhered them to the card.   I also added some the black hearts from the "Black Iridescent Twinkle Treats Sequins".

Yellow is typically not my favorite color to create with so I decided that I wanted that challenge with this card.   I think it turned out pretty good!

Have a great week everyone!

Sweet November Stamps ~ Snow Glad We're Friends

Happy Saturday all!  Today I'm sharing another fun wintry card I created from the last Sweet November Stamps winter release!

I started my card by stamping this sweet little pair of snowmen from the "Snow Buddy Like You" stamp set using Memento Desert Sand ink.

I kept my Copic coloring very simple and tried to match it to my patterned paper by Catherine Pooler called "Through the Pines" patterned paper.

I die cut my stacked patterned papers using the Prism Studio from their "Stitched Rectangles Dies".

I stamped the sentiment in CP's Cranberry Fizz ink and then used a white gel pen to add some dots to part of the wording.  So simple!

Hope you're having a great weekend!

Catherine Pooler ~ Let's Party

Happy Friday!

StampNation is having a birthday this week!  We're turning 14!  Yup... it's been around for 14 years!

To celebrate, we're having a little challenge over at StampNation!

The challenge is to make a birthday card.

So I pulled out the newest Catherine Pooler ink color, Blue Raspberry. I also pulled out Something Blue, Melon Ice, Garden Party, Limoncello, and Tiara.

I started by making my background.  I used the "Block & Script Birthday Background" stamp set.

Then I pulled out the "Birthday Cake Remix" stamp set.  I stamped and die cut all of the elements of the 3 layer cake.  I also used some "Halo Embossing Powder" to create the frosting layers.

For the sentiment, I used just the letter die shapes of the "Party Word Die" and used 5 of my ink colors.  I wanted a little "let's" word so I pulled that word from one of the sentiments for the "Fall Finds" stamp set.

For the finishing touch, I used some Star Dust Stickles to add some dots of sparkle!

Hope you'll come and party along with us!

Sweet November Stamps & Craft Roulette - Fairy Thank You!

Happy Wednesday all!  Today I'm sharing a sweet thank you card featuring a digital stamp from Sweet November Stamps!

Today's card shows was made a few weeks ago for an episode of Craft Roulette.

For episode #248, the four parameters that the wheel gave us were:

  • Project: Card with a Tag (my tag is tucked under the end of my sentiment)
  • Colors: Disney Colors (I was inspired by Monsters Inc. - blues, purple, lime green)
  • Element: January (time to send out thank you cards for Christmas gifts)
  • Random: Branch(es)(ing) (I used a variety of branchy plant stamps to create my colorful strip)

 Here's my card...

For this card I used the adorable "Mistletoe Fairy" digital stamp from Sweet November Stamps.

I made the bright panel for our little Copic Marker colored fairy to peeking out from using a variety of fun Distress Oxide inks and some cool, branchy Lavinia stamp sets.

I added a pre-made foiled sentiment and a stitched tag to the front of the card too.

Join us Friday at 6:10pm CST for the next episode of Craft Roulette!  Hope to see you there!

Crafty Meraki ~ Introducing Meraki Genesis

Crafty Meraki is celebrating 5 years in business and I'm so happy to joining their amazing team of creative talent!

Today we're celebrating with a Instagram Hop.

BEGIN HERECrafty Meraki Insta

The card I'm sharing on today's hop stars the beautiful new Press-tacular plate called "Crimson Charm".

I foiled today's "Crimson Charm Press-tacular Plate" with a simple gold foil and colored in the gorgeous Dahlia using a rainbow of soft Copic Marker colors.

For my very subtle background, I also foiled a gorgeous background A2 die called "Sahara Symphony Background Die".  Yes... I foiled a die!  It gives you very fine lines but it still gives you a design!

For the final touch of my card, I foiled an entire sheet of the "Gilded Greetings EAP" with gold foil and die cut it using the "Gilded Greetings Dies" to cut the entire sheet out at once!  I love the concept of foiled a number of sentiments all at once and die cutting them all out at once!  So quick and easy!

From left to right, I used "Hannah Hearts", then "Hallie Hearts" in the middle and finally, "Helena Hearts".

To finish off the card I used some Catherine Pooler Designs "Be Mine Prints" patterned papers with cute hearts and a Be Mine inked sentiment from Studio Katia.

Love this adorable birthday card!

Scrap 'N Stamp ~ My Punny Valentine's Hop **PRIZE**

Welcome to the Scrap 'N Stamp My Punny Valentine's Blog Hop!

Today's hop is all about sharing some punny Valentine's Day projects!

Today's card features the cool "Feelin' Fizzy" stamp set by Catherine Pooler.  This fun stamp set features some cool soda pop bottle shapes, liquid images to fill each bottle and some fun retro sentiments and shapes!

I started by die cutting my popped up panel using the Prism Studio "Nesting Stitched Rectangle" dies for the outside and then the "Nesting Stitched Circles" dies for the inner circle.

I then stamped my die cut elements; the soda pop image, the straw and arrow.  I used Catherine Pooler inks; Be Mine and Party Dress inks.  I used Onyx Black ink from Versafine for the black outlines.  I used the corresponding dies to die cut those 3 items.

Next I positioned my sentiment within the circular window and stamped it using the black ink.

Then I used some CP Twilight ink and added some of the fun bubbles across the top panel.  I also added some cool star shapes from the "Feelin' Fizzy" stamp set across the panel and inside the circular window.  I used some Cotton Candy and Be Mine inks.

Next I adhered all of the die cut images.  I had to use some 3D foam to add some of the items through the window.
