TGIF everyone! I’m here along with some of the Bloom
Brigade gals from Power Poppy today to share some card &
colouring love with you!
Don’t forget to play along with the latest (and greatest!) Power
& Spark Challenge this month. It’s an easy one too! All you have to
do is colour using a medium that you haven’t used in awhile… yup… as simple as
that. To check out all the challenge deets, click here! Oh… and you don’t need a Power
Poppy image to play along BUT if you’d like to give one a
whirl right away, then check out all the amazing digital options here.
Today I was inspired to create a VERY simple card using the
spotlight technique.
First I took a panel of water colour paper and stamped my image in a grey ink
and then took it to my Big Shot and cut the frame out. I took just the inner
panel from the frame and used my inexpensive Yarka semi-moist water colours to
paint on the colour and voila….
My card features the stunning "Daffodils" stamp set and that sweet little sentiment is included!
Here’s a close up my card. I actually popped up the frame using 2 more die
cuts of thick water colour paper to boost it up.
Now, off you go and check out what the amazing Bloom Brigade has put
together for you today…

Love the soft look with the colors you used and the outer part not colored gives a very cool look :)
Really cool design Ally!
Beautiful card, I love how you left the side uncolored.
Oh, Ally, I just love the soft watercoloring, and I really also love the die cutting with a sort of spotlight technique! You are amazing and so creative, my friend! Warm hugs!
Ally! I adore your spotlighting technique and your colouring is "da bomb", Sistah! This is absolutely gorgeous!
Very beautiful colorful card!...Love the card design as well.
This is great. Almost a "spy glass" effect. Love the idea. Thanks.
This is just fantastic. I love the softness of the watercolouring.
Dang, your watercoloring is fabulous! I always want to color like you. Beautiful, Ally!!
Way to think outside the box! Gorgeous coloring & love the b&w outside the frame, too!
