Introducing… O Holy Night!

Silent night… Holy Night!  All is calm!  All is bright!

The newest stamp set from Power Poppy, “O Holy Night” is sure to be a must-have stamp on your shopping list this month!

Marcella has drawn the most serene wintry night scene with this sweet little church and I don’t know about you, but I can almost hear the beautiful sound of a Christmas choir when I peer at this stamp…

Today I chose to work with some water colour paints.  I’m really new to working with this medium (maybe 5 times!) but I think it came out a lot better than I expected!
I added some soft snowflakes to only the outer parts of the sky.  I really like the effect of the circular cut out of the church and moon.  It really brings it all into focus quickly.

Why not check out what my fellow Bloom Brigaders have created with this beautiful snowy scene…

Beautiful. Love how you cut the main part of the image in the circle and raised it. Great job with the water color effect also.

Gorgeous! I would not guess that your'e relatively new to watercoloring, as this looks really good to me. I love the raised circle, it echoes the moon and adds to the peacefulness of this card.

Oh, it turned out beautiful, Ally! Your use of the watercolor paints is brillliant! I have never use anything other than inks for watercoloring and I know I should probably step up my game, sort of grow up, probably. LOVE the yellow moonlight throughout. You and Stacy with the moonlight... geez, I never even thought about that. Your trees are especially pretty. You make me want to go watercolor something right now! You did a wonderful job with your card design, too!
