Introducing... Wild Roses!

WildRosesGraphic
With Valentine’s Day almost upon us we couldn’t miss out on giving you another amazing botanical set for the season, Wild Roses. This stunning set features a wild rose and a theme of "love" - perfect to tell those you cherish just how you feel - all year long! This set, illustrated by Sam Pickard with sentiments provided by Dina Kowal, measures 4" by 6" and offers three main images, three sentiments and a sentiment background stamp.

I thought I'd get a head start on my Valentine's Day card creations and this beautiful "Wild Roses" stamp set is perfect for this kind of project!

I stamped my "Wild Roses" images all over my Classic Ivory Cardstock panels, matted with Classic Kraft Cardstock.  I used Memento "Rich Cocoa" ink for my sentiment and my roses, Ranger Distress inks for my script stamping and leaves and for the pink, I used Memento "Angel Pink" ink.  A pretty bow made from Cream Seam Binding Ribbon finishes off the front.

I added some colour to my wild roses with Copic Markers: (R11, R12 & RV42)

If you look a little closer, I used the "So Distressed" stamp collection to add not only the chevron on my closer band but also for the pink ink on my ivory panels.  I also fussy cut a single bloom to act as a part of my card closure - it holds the corner of the heart down to stay flat.

In addition to some adhesive pearls, I added some Glossy Accents to all the roses on the front of my card.  The Glossy Accents makes the roses shine and richer in colour!  So pretty!

And I couldn't leave the inside of my card empty!  I stamped and coloured it using the same stamps and inks.
I made my "CLEAN & LAYERED" card using the new challenge, The Card Concept's colour scheme for Challenge #1:
Today you’ll see some fragrant beauties from our Senior Design Team with this love-themed set, and while you’re enjoying their designs don’t forget to look for our:
