Be My Valentine?

WaltzingmouseStamps

I stumbled upon a sketch from Waltzingmouse Stamps yesterday and it completely drew me in! I just loved the patchwork effect and couldn't resist playing along. See the sketch below. Click the sketch to go to directly to the challenge posting.
Since I haven't completely moved all of my scrappy stuff over to the new house yet, my Waltzingmouse stamps are still packed away in the old house so I just grabbed some of the stamps that had at hand to play along this week and this is the card I created with the sketch...

Be My Valentine

supplies: stamps, myStamp BOX; patterned papers, Bo Bunny; cardstock, Bazzill, Gina K. Designs; tag die cut, Spellbinder's; embossing powder, Hero Arts; ink, Versamark, Memento, Stampin' Up!.

I started off my piecing together all the patterned paper. I just live these cute paper by Bo bunny called "Crazy Love". I bought them in a 6x6 pad and they work perfectly for cards! I sanded all of the edges to get the core of the paper to frame each piece.

Then I die cut my tag and doubled stamped the sentiment in both brown and light pink ink. The sentiment is from the "Straightforward" stamp set at myStamp BOX and the butterfly image is from the "Colorful Companions" set.

Hope you're having a great weekend!

Stay tuned later today for my Mission 2 Create card for this week!
