Craft Roulette ~ You Bake Me Happy

Hey friends! It’s time for another round of Craft Roulette, and this week’s episode #290 was such a fun one to play along with! The parameters really inspired a sweet and cozy creation.

Here were the parameters:

  • Project: Card for a Friend (I made a birthday card!)

  • Colors: Bright Colors (I chose cheerful blues and greens)

  • Element: “Happy” (my sentiment says You bake me so happy!)

  • Random: Partial Image (I used just part of the kitty image)

For my card, I couldn’t resist pulling out the Colorado Craft Company “Bake Me Happy” stamp set. That sweet little kitty peeking out from the mixing bowl just makes me smile! I colored everything up using Copic Markers, giving the scene lots of warmth and texture — from the bright blue mixing bowl to the wooden spoon dusted with flour.

This card is also a Dutch Door style, so it has a flap that opens from the side for a little extra interactive charm. For the wallpaper background, I used a soft leafy pattern from Catherine Pooler Designs’ “Gardener’s Notebook” paper pack — it gives the kitchen scene such a cozy vibe.

This cheerful card is perfect for brightening a friend’s day and reminding them how much joy they bring — because truly, you bake me so happy! πŸ°πŸΎπŸ’š

This project marks my 121st contribution to Craft Roulette! 🎨

Sweet November Stamps ~ Time for Turkey!

Today I’m sharing a cozy, heartwarming scene featuring the brand-new “Time for Turkey” digital stamp from Sweet November Stamps! This adorable image of our sweet little lady proudly holding her Thanksgiving turkey instantly made me think of family gatherings and home-cooked comfort.

To give her a warm setting, I paired her with the “Modern Living Room” digital background, complete with its coordinating accessories — the couch, potted plant, and candles. I imagined a chilly day outside those big picture windows, so I added a few evergreen trees from the “North Pole Friends Background Builder” and even a brick wall from the “Scene Builder: Castle” to create a backyard view.

Of course, no home is complete without a couple of furry companions! I brought in “Mini the Multipoo” and the curious cat from “Spring is Back” to keep her company. Every element was colored with Copic Markers to bring that warm, lived-in glow to the room.

Finally, I mounted my finished scene on a piece of patterned paper from the Catherine Pooler Designs “Right at Home” paper pack to complete the cozy home vibe.

Such a fun card to design and color!  Have a great weekend!

Craft Roulette ~ Sweet Mousey Birthday

It’s time for another round of crafty fun with Craft Roulette, and this week’s parameters for Episode 289 were such a treat!

Here’s what the Wheel gave us:

  • Project: Dutch Door

  • Colors: Bird Feeder

  • Element: October

  • Random: Polka Dots

For my card, I created a Dutch Door–style birthday card featuring the adorable mice from Colorado Craft Company’s “So Sweet Slimline” stamp set. These little cuties are all about celebrating with cake, cookies, and chocolates—so they fit perfectly for a sweet birthday scene!  To make it extra special, I added a few mice on Action Wobbles.

Since I made this card for my brother-in-law’s October birthday, I wanted a fun, bright color palette that still had a cozy fall feel. I combined yellow starry paper with aqua geometric prints and added a sprinkle of polka dots to tie everything together. Each mouse was colored up with Copic Markers, and I used a mix of layering and fussy cutting to make the party scene come to life.

The sentiment, “Sending you the sweetest birthday wishes ever!”, couldn’t be more perfect for this playful bunch of mice.

This project marks my 121st contribution to Craft Roulette! 🎨

Today’s card features the brand-new digital “Howl-o-ween Pups” collection from Sweet November Stamps. This fun set includes six adorable puppies all decked out in their Halloween best — ready to go trick-or-treating around the neighborhood!

For my card, I chose to feature five of the 6 of these costumed cuties:

  • Waffles’ Witch Costume πŸ§™‍♀️

  • Dash’s Dracula Costume πŸ¦‡

  • Pepe’s Pirate Costume ☠️

  • Sparky’s Spider Costume πŸ•·️

To set the stage for their evening adventure, I used the “Neighborhood Background Builder” digital scene. It creates the perfect suburban backdrop for my Howl-o-ween gang under the starry sky.

Everything was colored with Copic Markers, bringing each pup to life with vibrant fur textures, playful costume colors, and a touch of Halloween night magic.

Sweet November Stamps ~ Halloween Postage

Happy Halloween, crafty friends! πŸ‘»

Today I’m sharing a fun and festive card featuring the adorable “Halloween Postage Pals: Portrait” clear stamp set from Sweet November Stamps. This set is designed to pair perfectly with the trendy postage-style dies and is filled with the cutest trick-or-treating characters — each one full of Halloween charm!

For my card, I used the postage frame to create a playful collage layout and filled each section with one of the sweet little costumed pals. I loved bringing each character to life with my Copic Markers, adding bright, candy-inspired colors and soft shading to match their fun personalities.

To make the backgrounds pop, I blended a mix of vibrant inks to create glowing, inky panels that feel perfectly Halloween-y. I even added some light splatter for extra texture and sparkle. To add some fun texture, I dabbed some cheesecloth into some black acrylic paint and "printed" on cobwebs!  And to finish things off, I included one of the sentiments from the same stamp set — “Monster Mode Activated” — because it fit this mischievous bunch so perfectly!

This stamp set is a total treat to work with and would be perfect for Halloween cards, tags, or even scrapbook accents celebrating spooky fun memories.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Scrap'N Stamp ~ Spooky Scary Skeletons Instagram Hop **WIN**

Boo! πŸ‘» It’s time for the Spooky Scary Skeletons Creative Hop with Scrap’N Stamp! This hop features some frightfully fun products from The Crafty Canuck shop — perfect for celebrating the Halloween season.

For my card today, I’m showcasing the adorable “Tall Cats” die set. This set features four bright-eyed cuties that are just the right mix of spooky and sweet!

To create my background, I began by blending Distress Oxide Inks in Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin, and Crackling Campfire to achieve that warm, glowing Halloween sunset look. Next, I added a misting of Distress Mica Stain in Wicked Elixir and Hocus Pocus to give the background some magical shimmer and movement.

Once the panel was dry, I masked off the ground area and blended it with Black Soot Distress Oxide ink to create a dark base for my cats to sit upon. Using Lavinia Stamps, I added some Spring Trees to the horizon for a haunting silhouette and finished with a sprinkling of Burst of Stars across the sky for a twinkly night effect.

The cats were die cut from black cardstock and their eyes and noses were backed with white cardstock, then colored with a bright orange hue for a spooky glow. To finish, I stamped a playful sentiment from the Catherine Pooler “Ghostly Greetings Sentiments” stamp set — “For my frightfully fun friend.”

Sweet November Stamps ~ The Owens Sisters

Today I’m sharing a card featuring the fabulous SN Gals: The Owens Sisters clear stamp set from Sweet November Stamps. These stylish sisters are enjoying a stroll through the city, and I couldn’t resist dressing them up in cozy Autumn-inspired outfits to match the season!

To create their setting, I used the Background Builder: City Sidewalks stamp set to give them a lively urban backdrop full of character and charm. I stamped, masked, and colored the scene using my Copic Markers, blending warm fall hues into the details.

For the sentiment, I used one from the Fall Gatherings clear stamp set—“Our friendship is as colorful as autumn leaves”—which perfectly captures the warmth of this card. I even added a few tiny leaf images from that same set to decorate one sister’s dress for an extra seasonal touch.

Whether it’s a pumpkin-spice coffee stroll or an afternoon of leaf-peeping, these two are ready to enjoy the crisp autumn air together!

Sweet November Stamps ~ Fall Gatherings

Fall truly is the best season of all! πŸ‚ Today I’m sharing a fun autumn scene card featuring some of the adorable kiddos from the brand new “Fall Gatherings” clear stamp set from Sweet November Stamps.

To set the scene, I combined several different background stamp sets: the “Front Porch Background” to create the cozy home setting, the “Front Porch Halloween Decor” for a few fun seasonal details (like that cute pumpkin by the stairs!), and the “Horizon Lines – Spring” for the distant trees and gentle horizon line. These sets layer together perfectly to create a full outdoor scene.

This card required a lot of masking to bring all of the elements together, but the end result was totally worth it! Once everything was stamped and masked, I colored up the entire image with my Copic Markers—adding all those warm, golden fall tones that make this season so magical.

I just love how these little friends are enjoying their leaf-raking adventure on a crisp autumn day. 🍁

Thanks for stopping by and celebrating the season with me!

Sweet November Stamps ~ Bitty Boos and Blooms

Today I’m sharing a slimline card featuring some of the cutest little ghosties around! These sweet characters are from the “Bitty Boos” clear stamp set by Sweet November Stamps. I paired them with the whimsical flowers from the “Spring Wees” stamp set for a fun and unexpected combination.

Instead of going the traditional Halloween color route, I decided to mix things up with a soft, playful palette of peach, lavender, and soft orange. The result is a non-traditional but super cheerful Halloween-inspired card that feels fresh and lighthearted.

I stamped my images across the tall slimline panel, then colored everything with Copic Markers to bring those little ghosties and blooms to life. The soft green background adds a nice pop of color without overwhelming the design, letting the characters shine.

I love how this card turned out—it’s a perfect way to show that Halloween cards don’t always have to be spooky or dark. Sometimes, sweet and whimsical is just as fun!

πŸ’€πŸ‘»πŸŒΈ Happy Haunting!
