Up, Up and Away!

Happy Monday everyone!

Today over at the myStamp BOX blog the team has put together a little showcase of fun stamped projects just for you!

Here's my little card....

Hot Air Balloon Wishes

supplies: stamps, mystamp BOX; patterned papers, BasicGrey; clear embossing powder, Stampendous!; inks, Ranger, Stampin' Up!; cardstock, Bazzill; die cut shapes, Spellbinders; edge punch, EK Success.

I used the Birthday Balloons stamp set and double stamped each balloon and cutting different pieces from them to get the different colours. My greeting is from the small box set, Lines of Life.

I also used the Wishing You Sunshine set to stamp and clear emboss my clouds. I used my sponging tool and blended two shades of blue into the clouds to create the sky.

My Final Mission....

Yes... sadly this is my final mission with the Mission To Create blog. The blog is continuing on with only the layout team. But I'm okay with that... that just means I get to play along with the missions and have some time for other fun!

This week's missions include:

Deborah - use a bicycle or other mode of transportation
Jocelyn - sand (distress) your picture
Nicole - use a ticket
Vanessa - Clouds
LG - this sketch:

Here's the card I came up with using all of this week's concepts...

You Make My World...

supplies: patterned papers, My Mind's Eye "Good Day Sunshine"; mini tickets, Maya Road; stamps, myStamp BOX, Hero Arts, Papertrey Ink; ink, Ranger, Stampin' Up!; brad, My Mind's Eye; die cut, Provocraft; other, thread.

Isn't this the cutest little moped? I cut it from the My Mind's Eye paper.

I had some fun with some stamps.... the sentiment is from the Mailbox Greetings from Papertrey Ink, the Hello definition stamp is from Hero Arts.

The Have a Great Trip! decal is from the Passport to Adventure stamp set from myStamp BOX. I also used the Stamp Canceling stamp from the Road Trip stamp set to create the background for my stamp focal area. The stamp image is also from the Road Trip set!

Come on out and join the final challenge for the Mission to Create card team. You can WIN a fabulous kit from our February sponsor... Artful Delight!

Scrapbooker's Paradise Challenge #04

TGIF everyone! It's Friday so that means a new challenge over at Scrapbooker's Paradise!

This week is Carla's turn and she's challenged us to a scraplift challenge this week. You can see Carla's inspirational card here on the Scrapbooker's Paradise Ponderings blog.

Here is what I came up with using Carla's card as my inspiration this week...

Have a Great Ride

supplies: patterned papers, My Mind's Eye; cardstock, Bazzill; stamps, Hero Arts; die cut shapes, Spellbinder's; other, thread.

For my card this week, I used the fabulous new patterned papers by My Mind's Eye from the Girl 12x12 "Good Day Sunshine" collection. They're just adorable!

I chose to add a cute little tricycle and sentiment from the Hero Arts "Joy Ride" stamp set. I stamped these images in Ranger Distress inks, Peeled Paint and Black Soot.

All of the shapes for my card were cut using Spellbinder dies (Classic Scalloped Circle, Standard Circles Nestabilities, Labels Four Nestabilities).

MAKE NOTE:
From February 24th thru to March 2nd, 2011.

WOOHOO!

I had a ball using Carla's card as inspiration this week. Why not take a moment and check out what my fellow Design Team members created this week too...

Come along and play along with us this week. Maybe you'll be our next Guest Designer!

Challenge #54: Paint My Room!

It's my week over on the Creative Prompts 4U blog this week. This week I chose a photo of the most beautiful room. I mean... I could totally live in this room... warm greys and browns, cream and a lush green colour palette.

For this week's inspiration, I completely stole the colour palette to use on my creation and this is what I came up with...

Thinking of You With Sympathy

supplies: cardstock, Bazzill, Gina K. Designs; stamps, Papertrey Ink; ribbon, Kaisercraft; inks, Tsukenko, Ranger, Stampin' Up!; other, thread.

I used a variety of my Papertrey Ink stamps and created the mini dotted grey panel and also the floral green panel.

I hope you'll play along with us this week and I hope you take some inspiration from this week's photo just like my fellow Creative Crew did... here!

Scrapbooker's Paradise Challenge #03

It's Friday! Time for a new challenge over at Scrapbooker's Paradise today!

This week's challenge is from the lovely Karan. She has challenged us to DISTRESS this week. So I immediately pulled out my Tonic -Tim Holtz Paper Distresser tool...

I had this pretty little picture of my fur-baby Teaco that I had taken so I knew I wanted to use the fun Max & Whiskers collection from BasicGrey for this layout.

I matted my central focal point on some yummy black cardstock, Black Bazzill.

I used a variety of fun edge punches to create this fun part of the layout; Fiskar's Upper Crest punch, Fiskar's Treading Water punch and the EK Success Circle Chain punch.

As you can see, I used my Tonic Studios Tim Holtz Paper Distresser to rough up all the edges of my patterned papers. I also used my Ranger Black Soot Distress ink on all the edges of my white cardstock. I just adore how this layout came out!

Check out what the rest of my fellow Challenge Design Team did with Karan's challenge this week...

Mission 0035: I Chair-ish

If you are here for the myStamp BOX Love Train Blog Hop, please click the blinkie below!

***********
It's Sunday... time for a new card challenge over at Mission to Create!

This week our 5 concepts included:

Deborah - use pastel colours
Jocelyn - stitched journalling lines
Vanessa - lace trim
Iris - white gesso or use mists
Nicole - this sketch:

And this is what I did with all 5 concepts this week....

I Chair-ish Your Friendship
supplies: patterned papers, stickers, BasicGrey; cardstock, Bazzill; white trim, friendship definition stamp, Hero Arts; chair & sentiment stamps, Papertrey Ink; inks, Memento, Copic, Ranger; mists, Tattered Angels, Smooch; die cut shape, Spellbinder's; other, pearls, gems, thread.

I chose to use some pastel coloured patterned papers by BasicGrey for this card. I used almost all of the aspects of Nicole's sketch with exception of the bottom panel: I used this to stamp a friendship definition stamp by Hero Arts in this place.

For the misting aspect, I took a piece of the Hero Arts self-adhesive white trims and misted it with both a blue and an orange mist to add colour.

As you can see, I added some dimension to my card using multiple layers of the cute chair stamp from Papertrey ink.

Come and play along this week! We're giving away a prize from Artful Delight. You can check out what the rest of my fellow card team made using this week's concepts HERE.

Now on with the journey!!!

When I think of Love and Valentine's Day, I think red, white and frilly! So for my first card creation I wanted to make it just that... red, white and frilly! LOL! So I made this...

Frilly Hearts

To create my card I started off by cutting a long strip of white paper and then edge punching the width of the paper strip. I cut my flaps of scalloped punched paper approximately 1 inch in width and then I stamped my cute little heart from the Seal It! stamp set. I used the scallops as my guidelines... so perfect! Then I layered the stamped scalloped strips with a little bit of distress inks along the edge on a piece of scrap paper. I created a fast frame and wrapped it with some cute heart ribbon and a heart charm and VOILA!... red, white and frilly!

You can see the scalloped edge detail a little better here...

For my final card, I wanted to create a font inspired front panel so I searched through all of my amazing myStamp BOX stamp sets to find all the love and Valentine's Day inspired sentiments to use. And I found a ton! Here's my font inspired card...

Hanging Heart U

Stamp sets used: Funky Alphabet (love), Mini Alpha - Small Box (adore), Rough Copy Alphabet ("u"), Backgrounds (bubble wrap background), Mention It! ("you're so sweet"), Santa's Tags - Small Box (xoxo), Lots of Dots - Sentiments ("sweet"), Whatever! ("truly madly", "I (*heart*) U", "Hugz").

That's 8 stamps sets... including a Christmas stamp set!!! I know... crazy huh??

To celebrate this love inspired journey, I'm giving away a set of Making Memories "Love Notes" felt clips and a Making Memories "Je t'Adore" set of brads. How can you WIN this little LOVE RAK you ask? Just by commenting below and answering the following question...

Playing in Paradise... You're a Hoot!

It's my first official challenge over at the Scrapbooker's Paradise Ponderings blog! This week I chose a photo of this cute little hootie-pie and that's the inspiration I asked the Challenge Design Team to use this week...

Isn't he cute???

Here's what I did with my own inspirational piece this week...

You're a Hoot

I chose to stick with a lot of the colours directly from the image so I found the My Mind's Eye, "Fine & Dandy" collection perfect for this card. I used Dapper, Shining, Daydream and Snappy. This collection is double sided and so much fun to work with!

Those cute little hooters are from the Technique Tuesday stamp set, "Wise Guys". I paper pieced them using the same MME "Fine & Dandy" papers to match the card colours. I used my all time favourite stamping ink, Tsukineko (Memento) in Rich Cocoa to stamp the owls, sentiment and branch.

To create my multiple layers, I used a few fun Spellbinder dies; Classic Scallop Rectangle and Classic Rectangle.

I also use the fabulous EK Success, Open Scallop Edger; one of my favourite punches!

Check out what my fellow Team members have created using my challenge this week:
Come and join the Challenge Team and play along with this week's challenge. Link up your creation using my inspirational piece by next Thursday at noon to play along. Check out the Scrapbooker's Paradise Ponderings blog for further details!
